Anonymous asked: Hi dear! i was wondering if you could advice me on how to deal with my period when i want to train, sometimes it can be painful or too heavy, which tampons or pads or anything to stay active and safe -hopefully this is not too intimate, thanks!!-
Hi love. Not too intimate, I’m happy to help :) I’d say that if it’s truly unbearable, you should think about altering your training :) Switch days, make the days you have your period the worst an easy day/rest day. No harm in doing that. I don’t know any specific brands of tampons or pads that might help entirely (DOES ANYONE HAVE ANY SUGGESTIONS?????)
Sorry I couldn’t be more help lovely, but I’d definitely just go day by day how you’re feeling when you have it and alter your schedule a bit :)
Can I slide in here? Anon (and any other person who has a period) should definitely try a menstrual cup. They don’t leak, you can’t feel them, they’re really not as gross as a sound (I promise!), and you only need to empty it twice a day. Like tampons, it’ll take a day or two to learn how to insert them, but gosh they’re worth it!!
